Granola is a great thing to make homemade because of just how customizable it is. With this recipe, you can switch out nearly any ingredient with something else you prefer, such as almonds for walnuts or pecans, or adding in some extra health boosters such as hemp seeds or flaxseed into the mix. The options are endless!

This is a fantastic snack on its own, a topping for yogurt, or even a cereal with milk to keep you satisfied until your next meal!

2 cups oats

1/2 cups shredded coconut

2 tbsp chia seeds

1/2 cups sliced almonds

1/2 cups dried fruit

1/3 cup maple syrup

1/3 cup nut butter

1/4 cup coconut oil melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

Combine the wet ingredients in a measuring cup, mix well, then add to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Transfer the mixture to a light-colored baking sheet (this helps prevent burning) and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, until it reaches a light golden color. When you take it out of the oven, it will look "wet," but once it cools, it will crisp up and become the crunchy granola you know and love!
